CiTi BOCES has an opening for a Senior Typist. This work involves the performance of moderately difficult duties involving the use of computers to produce correspondence, records, reports, tables, documents and other materials. 

The work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level employee, permitting the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out details of the work.  Depending on the agency assignment, an incumbent may function as secretary to a department head.  Specific instructions may be given for new or unusual assignments.  Supervision may be exercised over the work of clerical employees depending on work assignments and office staffing patterns.  The incumbent does related work as required.

Typical activities characteristic of the class.

  • Keys accounting and financial statements, statistical tabulations and data, letters, memoranda, vouchers, reports, requisitions, and other materials, working from rough draft or from data which is personally developed. 
  • Reviews accounts, reports, payrolls, and other documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformity to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Collects fees and other funds for service activities and charges to specific accounts for bank deposits.

The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation Adult Education Department has an opening for a part time HVAC Instructor. The instructor will guide the classroom and lab learning experiences for the students preparing to be entry-level HVAC Technicians. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide Hands-On Training: Instruct students in the proper use of HVAC tools, equipment, and safety
procedures.
• Assess Student Progress: Develop and administer assessments to measure student proficiency and provide
feedback for improvement.

Technology Education Teacher - Oswego County PTECHT03052025

Oswego County P-TECH is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Technology Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be a positive team player who enjoys participating in school spirit events, going on industry visits, and working with local industry partners on STEM challenges.

The ideal candidate will collaborate, plan, and implement lessons and unit plans with other content areas, including Life Science, Math, and English, to design and implement real-world, community-based projects that foster hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences for students. Position Summary: The intern will serve as a Principal intern to lead the daily operations of an extended school year program. The intern will provide support to the special education administration team in ensuring compliance with special education laws, coordinating services, and supporting educators, students, and families. This internship offers hands-on experience in special education leadership, implementation of laws and regulations, and student advocacy. Opportunities exist serving the following populations: students with multiple disabilities, students with intellectual and emotional disabilities, students with autism, and students in our day treatment program.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Compliance Support:

2. Staff Guidance and Collaboration:

  •  Work closely with teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure that instructional practices meet curriculum standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral analysis and a passion for working with children and adolescents with autism, mental health challenges, and/or intense behavioral needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors.

CiTi is seeking individuals to teach part-time who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students.  Candidates must have instructional technology skills, be well versed in virtual learning or have an aptitude for virtual learning and be a quick learner.  

 

Classes will be taught in a synchronous interactive videoconferencing environment while using a learning management system.  Teachers will be expected to teach live virtual interactive videoconferencing classes and create a strong online presence.  Live classes are 80 minutes every other day between 8:30-3:00.
