We are seeking a dedicated and determined leader who has shown a strong commitment to creating opportunities for students and families to direct CiTi’s Migrant Education Tutorial & Support Services Program (METS) under the guidelines of the New State Migrant Education Program (NYS-MEP).  This role requires good oral and written communication skills and the ability to help staff work effectively with migrant students and families, building on strengths while providing advocacy and support with overcoming obstacles (i.e. high mobility, language barriers, interrupted formal education, limited financial means, lack of access to technology, and challenging working and living conditions).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CiTi’s METS program that serves migrant students and families in a 4-county (Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, and Wayne) service region
  • Prepare and submit grant proposal for funding and oversee budget in collaboration with CiTi’s business office
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate program staff
  • Assess staff development needs and provide opportunities for METS staff to develop the skills and knowledge needed to address the unique needs of migrant students and families
  • Participate in professional development offered through CiTi, the NYS-MEP and other organizations to help develop the skills and knowledge needed to effectively administer the METS
  • Serve as liaison for the METS with the NYS-MEP, local school administrators, service agencies, and the community at large
  • Facilitate interagency coordination to assist migrant students and families with obtaining needed instructional and support services. 
  • Develop annual METS Workplan and Budget and submit to NYS-MEP
  • Support METS staff with implementation of 12-month METS Workplan, including summer services such as the METS Summer School in Sodus. 
  • Monitor and analyze migrant student achievement data 
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust services as appropriate
  • Ensure maintenance of program records according to NYSED’s Records Retention Schedule and other applicable requirements. 
  • Prepare and submit program reports to SED and other entities as required

School Business Manager (BOCES)AD01272025

CiTi BOCES, located in Mexico N.Y., has an opening in its business office for the position of School Business Manager. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and processing business and financial affairs of the BOCES. Responsibilities include providing administrative direction to 9 office staff members, maintaining integrity of data and accuracy of reporting, performing analysis, establishing and maintaining operational systems, assisting internal departments and component school districts in relation to the BOCES business operations, and serving as liaison to NYSED for BOCES business functions. The Business Manager shall oversee functions including financial accounting and reporting, budget activities, payroll, purchasing, investment management, auditing, grants management, compliance with and fiscal reporting to state and federal agencies and as needed to the Board of Education. Work is performed according to State, local and federal laws, codes, regulations and policies that apply to public schools. The position operates under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services with considerable leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment.
