CiTi BOCES is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our High School Day Treatment Program. This specialized program serves students with significant emotional, behavioral, and academic needs who benefit from a highly structured educational environment paired with therapeutic supports.

The successful candidate will teach a high school 8:1:1 special class, providing individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals, New York State Learning Standards, and tailored behavioral supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that support both academic and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate with mental health staff, teaching assistants, and related service providers to support students' academic and emotional needs.
  • Provide instruction aligned with New York State Standards.
  • Collect data and document student progress towards IEP goals.
  • Participate in CSE meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions.
  • Foster a supportive, therapeutic, and structured classroom environment that promotes student growth and success.
  • Implement behavioral strategies and crisis intervention when necessary, following program protocols.
