GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

CiTi BOCES is seeking a passionate and dedicated ELA Teacher to join our program, an all-day school program for students in Oswego County in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English Language Arts and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position involves delivering engaging and differentiated instruction to students, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver ELA lessons that align with NYS standards and the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for success on ELA regents exam
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the program.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and family correspondence.
