Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator to join our CTE team. This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, coordinating internship and job-shadowing opportunities, and ensuring compliance with all New York State Education Department (NYSED) WBL regulations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate a variety of work-based learning experiences for CTE students, including internships, job shadowing, cooperative education, etc.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, businesses, and community organizations.
- Ensure all WBL activities are aligned with NYSED regulations and guidelines.
- Assist students in developing employability skills and preparing for workplace experiences.
- Collect and maintain accurate records, student documentation, and reports related to WBL.
- Collaborate with CTE teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student placement and success.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to ensure quality and safety of placements.
- Provide ongoing professional development and training for staff related to WBL.
- Coordinate student events to support WBL – such as: job fairs, mock interviews, jobsite tours, field visits, etc.
- Participate in CTE Advisory committee meetings.
