Job Description

The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is seeking an ELA-certified educator to lead the New Vision Allied Health program. This one-year, honors-level program provides high school seniors with fully immersive experiences in healthcare careers, combining rigorous academics with real-world exposure in professional medical settings.

Program Highlights

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for assigned courses.
  • Integrate curriculum across disciplines to support authentic, real-world learning.
  • Supervise and guide students during healthcare rotations and community-based learning experiences.
  • Foster professional relationships with healthcare partners, higher education institutions, and community organizations to enhance program opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between CiTi BOCES, SUNY Oswego, and Oswego Health to coordinate scheduling, credentialing, and instructional alignment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure success in both high school and college coursework.
  • Promote professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving within an allied health context.

 

Job Qualifications
  • New York State ELA 7–12 certification required.
  • Eligible for credentialing as an adjunct instructor through SUNY Oswego.
  • Ability to meet requirements for health-based instruction with Oswego Health.
  • Experience integrating academic content with career-focused, experiential learning preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, industry partners, and post-secondary institutions.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and professional learning environment.
