Job Description

We’re hiring an experienced machining professional to teach Intro to Machine Tools I. The ideal candidate will guide students through the foundational principles and hands-on skills needed for careers in precision machining and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Teach the safe use of machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders
• Demonstrate measurement techniques and blueprint reading
• Supervise hands-on machining exercises
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Plan an authentic final project in which students apply their machining skills to create a functional or precision-crafted component
   

Program Duration: 6 Weeks 

Location: CiTi BOCES, Mexico Campus 

Time/Days of the Week: TBD by Instructor

Stipend: $6,000
 

Job Qualifications

• Proficiency in the operation and safety of manual machine tools
• Industry experience in machining or manufacturing
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerances
• Strong communication and instructional skills
   
• Teaching experience is a plus
  
   

Familiarity with safety standards in an industrial setting
