Job Description

CiTi BOCES is seeking an innovative and dynamic Principal to lead our Bridges to Success program. The Bridges to Success program is an alternative experience for high school students in grades 9-12 that struggle in a traditional school setting. The program offers smaller classroom sizes and an individualized approach to teaching and learning. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Innovation: Develop and implement innovative educational programs tailored to the needs of alternative high school students.
  • Whole Child Approach: Ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's academic, social, and emotional needs, promoting their overall well-being and success.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with students, staff, parents, districts, and community partners.
  • District and Community Collaboration: Build and sustain strong partnerships with home school districts, local organizations, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance educational opportunities and resources.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Utilize creativity to address challenges and develop solutions that support student achievement and school improvement.
  • Professional Development: Encourage and support ongoing professional development for staff to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong Ethical Character: Demonstrate commitment to upholding high ethical standards, fostering a culture of integrity and respect within the school community.
Job Qualifications
  • NYS Master's degree in Education or related field.

  • Valid NYS administrative certification.

  • Experience in educational leadership, preferably in an alternative education setting.
