Job Description

CiTi BOCES is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in our summer career exploration enrichment camp. 

DATES/TIMES:

July 10, 2026  – TA Orientation - required (9:00 am -12:00 pm)

July 13 – 17, 2026  (Monday - Friday)

TA Hours: 8:15 AM – 2:45 PM (Student Hours: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Teaching Assistants will:   • Support camp activities and student engagement • Assist with individualized learning activities and navigation of camp “stations” • Encourage positive student interactions and skill development • Help maintain a structured and supportive learning environment • Collaborate with teachers and program staff to prepare and deliver a high quality student experience     Orientation will be provided to ensure all staff are prepared and confident in their roles.

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS teaching assistant certification preferred.  

Ideal candidates will:

 

• Have experience working with  middle school age children or students

• Demonstrate patience, positivity, and a passion for student success

• Work collaboratively as part of a team

• Support diverse learning needs

• Help create a fun and engaging summer learning environment

 

COMPENSATION:

Compensation for current CiTi staff is their hourly contractual rate.

Compensation for non-CiTi employees is $21.13/hour
