Job Description

We’re hiring an experienced machining professional to teach Intro to Machine Tools I. The ideal candidate will guide students through the foundational principles and hands-on skills needed for careers in precision machining and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in the proper use of common hand tools
• Teach basic concepts of blueprint reading and design
• Oversee hands-on tool application projects
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment
• Develop an authentic culminating project where students create and interpret a blueprint and build a basic structure or prototype using hand tools
  
   

Program Duration: 6 Weeks 

Location: CiTi BOCES, Mexico Campus 

Time/Days of the Week: TBD by Instructor

Stipend: $6,000
 

Job Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical hand tools and their applications
   
• Experience with blueprint reading, drafting, or CAD
   
• Background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering tech
   
• Clear and patient instructional style
  
  Experience in education or workforce training is preferred
