The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is developing new and exciting programs. CiTi is seeking individuals who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students.  Candidates must have strong instructional technology skills and be well versed in virtual learning.  

CiTi BOCES seeks a full time Distance Learning Specialist who has a strong background in instructional technology in the classroom as a teacher or as a technology coach.  The Distance Learning Specialist would join a team dedicated to the evolving needs of virtual learning via interactive videoconferencing.  The position will focus on coordinating an interactive videoconferencing service for districts in the Finger Lakes Region.  Interactive videoconferencing courses are shared amongst districts and with local community colleges.  While some of the time may be remote work, most of the time will be in districts in the Finger Lakes Region working with staff, students, and the colleges. 

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate an interactive videoconferencing service for districts in the Finger Lakes Region.
2. Provide training and support for distance learning teachers.
3. Facilitate a network of distance learning facilitators from each school.
4. Work in an early college high school environment, supporting students and monitoring progress.
5. Collaborate with other distance learning programs across the state.
6. Support distance learning equipment and infrastructure.

Job Qualifications

New York State Teacher Certification and possess strong instructional technology skills.
